Tasting Notes
APPEARANCE: Pale straw with golden hues.
BOUQUET: Fragrant aromas of fresh melon and peach are supported by a subtle, understated oak.
PALATE: The palate is soft and approachable with lovely stone fruit characters. Rich and textural, the fruit is balanced by fine
background oak. The wine displays a refreshing acid and
finishes with finishing good length.
Vineyard Notes
2021 could go down in history as one of the best vintages in recent memory. Ever-so-slightly warmer than average temperatures, coupled with very little rain throughout the growing season meant that the fruit, of which there was plenty, was able to ripen slowly with no disease pressure at all, underneath beautifully lush and healthy canopies - happy grapes! The mild autumnal conditions saw the ripening period extend well into late April, which made for a fairly drawn out process for winemakers, but one that seemed perfectly designed to allow the fruit to develop intense flavor's and excellent balance while it remained on the vine.
Winemaker Notes
Well-established winemaking techniques were used to create this wine. The grapes were carefully monitored and harvested at optimal maturity to ensure freshness and balance. The wine style is fruit driven, juicy and easy drinking, with a lovely texture and displaying beautifully defined varietal character.
